Nina Kraviz is the Russian producer, DJ and vocalist making waves with underground house music lovers the world over, with releases for some of the genre’s leading labels like Rekids, Naif and Underground Quality. We chatted with Nina right after she’d finished tearing up the Red Bull Music Academy Stage at this year’s Nuits Sonores Festival, and she spoke about conversing with a crowd through her music, being an outsider, and how the stars have helped her rising profile.

We spoke with minimal techno star Luciano right before his Cadenza label showcase alongside Frivolous, Reboot and Robert Dietz, to get his thoughts on Nuits Sonores, to talk about some of the secret weapons in his record box, and to discuss how he keeps a level head with his hectic lifestyle.

MARK KNIGHT: I made up my mind that 2011 would be the year to bring the signature sound of Toolroom to Ibiza with a solid summer residency on Mondays and Space Ibiza seemed like the perfect place to start building.
