Irish producer Mano Le Tough’s sound ranges from deep disco to tech house, and his tracks have become essential weapons for DJs in the know. After warming up the Nuits Sonores Red Bull Music Academy Stage, he walked us through his set, his indie music background, and the scene in his current home, Berlin.

Nicolas Jaar is electronic music’s great breakthrough hope. The 21-year-old Chilean-born and New York based producer has found wide appeal with his unclassifiable downtempo music, and he’s spent much of the last year packing out clubs and concert halls, while creating instant classics out of his productions and remixes. He’s now added ‘bandleader’ to his list of achievements, and he spoke with us after gracing the Nuits Sonores main stage with his live 4-piece improv group.

Don’t let the dental braces and youthful energy fool you. Although Detroit native Kyle Hall is just 19 years of age, he produces some of the most mature and compelling dance music around, boldly taking deep house, dubstep and techno in his stride. Hall made a splash on Nuit Sonores’ opening night, and when we bumped into during Caribou’s set a couple of nights later, we grabbed the chance to talk with him about his first Nuits Sonores experience.
